Mopec’s Charged Microscope Slides are the optimal selection for microscope slides within your lab. Often referred to as adhesive slides, enhanced slides, or coated slides, charged slides are chemically enhanced during production to give it a positively-charged surface. This process allows for sample tissue, often negatively charged, to better stick to the surface of the slide.
Charged microscope slides can be hydrophobic, meaning they are water-repellent, or hydrophilic, meaning they are water-absorbent. While some assume that a sample can automatically attach to a hydrophobic slide better due to its water-repellent nature, it’s important to note that the adhesion strength is completely independent of this feature.

Mopec’s IHC Enhanced Hydrophilic Adhesive Slides offer superior tissue adhesion, surface fluidics on the slide, and staining performance. Our proprietary coating ensures incredibly consistent performance even after exposure to heat stress and humid environmental conditions. These enhanced slides are optimized for use with thermal printers.
Mopec’s recommends our IHC Enhanced Hydrophilic Adhesive Slides for use on Ventana® Benchmark staining platform and automated IHC platforms. These microscope slides are manufactured using pure white, ultra-clear, exceptionally flat, low fluorescence glass and are finished with 90° corners.

Note: Histology control slides are not quality controlled for IHC methods, and as such, we cannot certify antigenicity. Our control slides are intended to verify histological techniques and reagent reactivity. Review the supplied stained slide with your Pathologist prior to using unstained slides to ensure the intended analyte of interest is acceptable.
