Autopsy Knives and Bone Cutting Tools
Mopec’s autopsy tools cover cutting, sawing, and separating. The AH102 autopsy dissecting knife is an all-purpose knife with a rounded tip and a ridged, tapered blade, in 13 in premium-grade stainless steel. The AJ129 post-mortem knife, AH001/AH002 double-edge post-mortem knife, and AH015 Gannett’s post-mortem dissecting knife round out the knife range.
For bone work, autopsy instruments include the Mopec 810 pathology saw, the Satterlee bone cutting autopsy saw (AG112) with its AG113 blade, Councilman’s chisel (AH021), a postmortem bone mallet and Liston bone cutting forceps. The Virchow skull breaker (AH004 standard, AH104 premium) has a stainless steel T-handle design that helps separate and expose cranial plates. All instruments are for postmortem, mortuary and laboratory work and are not intended for medical applications or patient use.

What's the difference between the Porti-Boy Mark IV and Mark V?
The Mark IV runs 0 to 60 lbs pressure with a 2.5 gal (9.46 L) tank and a 1/6 hp motor. The Mark V runs 0 to 80 lbs with a 3.5 gal (13.25 L) tank and a 1/5 hp motor. Both deliver 0 to 1 gpm.
What postmortem needles do you carry?
Postmortem needles come in straight, circle curved, double curved, and half curved patterns, in 12-packs. The stainless steel half curved series (AD101 to AD105) runs from 5.5 in down to 3.5 in.
Can these autopsy instruments be used on patients?
No. These instruments are built for postmortem, mortuary and laboratory work and are not intended for medical applications or patient use.
Which blades fit the Mopec 810 pathology saw?
